Author, inventor, entertaining public speaker, and veteran massage therapist since 1986, specializing in muscular pain and sports injuries. Affectionately called “MacGyver” by his students, it is not unusual to see him use a mop, a rope, a beach ball, springs, Play-Doh, elastic bands, sponges and many other home-made ’teaching toys’ to explain and demonstrate basic concepts that apply directly to your therapy.
In 1992 he invented the first seated abdominal exerciser called Air-O-Flex developed by Fitness Quest of Ohio, an idea originating after pumping a flat tire on a golf cart. Jackie Zeaman of "General Hospital" fame was the celebrity spokesperson in the TV commercials.
He was recently awarded patent number 7413441 for creating the “Sarcomere - Three Dimensional Teaching Model” which is now manufactured and marketed by Denoyer-Geppert Science Company of Chicago, and used extensively in his classes to illustrate proper muscular contraction and its dysfunction.
Mark has lectured on repetitive movement syndromes at many colleges and massage schools after seven years related experience as therapist and consultant to Levi-Strauss & Co. in North Carolina. He has developed a self-help video on the subject of carpal tunnel syndrome previously sold through Amazon.com and other outlets. Along with 4 years teaching at the Palm Beach Academy of Health and Beauty and two years as an adjunct instructor at the Palm Beach Community College, he has been a speaker at the
